Marie G. Busse

Age 82, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2003 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Marie was born in Kaukauna on December 7, 1920, daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Porter) Reuter. ON June 6, 1944, she married Robert Busse at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Baltimore; he preceded her in death on July 28, 1988. Marie was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sisters-in-law: Genevieve Reuter of Kaukauna, Jean Theiss of Appleton, and Carolynn Busse of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and by a close friend and caregiver: Theresa Kortz. Marie will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, close neighbors, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers-in-law Fritz Reuter, John (Phillipa) Reuter, I.M. Theiss, and Gerry Busse; and sisters-in-law Florence (Milt) Vandehey and Joan (Wallace) White.

The funeral liturgy for Marie will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
