Age 93, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at Brewster Village, Appleton. Marie was born on August 27, 1911, in Hortonville, to the late Julius and Lydia (Waldvogel) Krause, Jr. She married Robert F. Bartman on October 13, 1936; he preceded her in death on November 7, 1973. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughters, Kay Vandenberg, Appleton; Sandra (Norbert) DeGroot, Hofa Park, and Jeanette Richey, Appleton; her sons, Robert R. (Florence) Bartman, New Holstein; Richard F. (Shirley) Bartman, Minocqua; Stephen (Lois) Bartman, San Bruno, CA; and James (Rose) Bartman, Kimberly; her 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Reinhold (Florence) Krause; and her sisters, Martha Krause and Esther (Walter) Nau; an infant sister, Minnie; her nephew Donald Krause; and her son-in-law, Raymond Vandenberg. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2004, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton with Rev. Daniel Spina officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Brewster Village for their loving and attentive care.
