Age 92, died at 9:18 PM Saturday, January 5, 2002. She was born September 5, 1909 to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Ecker) Ciske in Sherwood, Wisconsin. Marie married Raymond Bradish on July 9, 1935 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha, he preceded her in death on February 15, 1997. Marie loved her family unconditionally, enjoyed baking her exceptional cookies, crocheting lap robes for nursing homes and knitting countless pairs of mittens for children here and abroad. Lunches with family were always a highlight.
She is survived by seven children, Marilyn and David Brown, Tonasket, Washington; John and Rita Bradish, Appleton; Kathleen Bradish, Madison; Paul and Debra Bradish, Lodi, Wisconsin; Mark and Kristy Bradish, Oshkosh; Bill and Sharon Bradish, Columbus, Wisconsin; Elizabeth and Michael Brozek, Madison; 20 grandchildren, Dan, Aimee, Tim, Paul, Lisa, Kathy, David, Mary, Mark, Ann, Peter, Lindsay, Jessica, Ellie, Andy, Caitlin, Christopher, Nicholas, Maggie and Rachel; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Isabelle Werner; Gertrude (Herbert) Koslowski; three sisters in law, Genny Ciske, Katie Ciske and Jean Ciske; and one brother in law, Peter Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and seven brothers and sisters, John Ciske, Cecelia Belanger, Edmund Ciske, Eleanor Ciske, Anthony Ciske, Clarence Ciske and Betty Harris.
The Funeral Liturgy for Marie will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton with Fr. John P. Bergstadt officiating. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday at Church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and entire staff at AMC for their tender care.
