Marie Anne (Klarner) DeKeyser age 84, of Appleton, Beloved Mother, grandmother, great- grandmother & friend passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children, on December 28, 2021.
Marie was born April 28, 1937, in Seymour WI, the daughter of Edward & Christina (Ulman) Klarner. Growing up on the family farm, Marie was the youngest of seven children. She attended a one-room school house prior to graduating from Seymour High in 1955. While raising her six children, Marie held numerous jobs including positions with Villa Hope and Villa Phoenix before becoming manager of St. Patrick’s Bookstore until retirement. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor, she enjoyed sharing stories about living on the farm and life’s other adventures. She will be remembered for her commitment to her faith, family and friends. Her passion for watching sports, playing sheepshead, cooking and baking were shared and enjoyed by many. Above all she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Tina (John) Siebers, Rick (Linda) DeKeyser, Clint (Martha) DeKeyser, Dan (Ellen) DeKeyser, Patricia DeMarco, Gary (special friend Patty) DeKeyser. Grandchildren: Monica, Anna, Allison, Tim, Samantha, Andy, Travis, Matt, Max, Alex, Charlie, Dustin, Benjamin, Christopher, Alissa. Great-grandchildren: Lyndon, Auden, Ezra, Elodie, Madelyn, Abigail, Hannah, Asher, Liam, Hudson, Kyra, Kendall, Sawyer, Randi, Beau, Kitana, Caden, Arianna.
She is further survived by her brother: Melvin; sister: Rosella; sister-in-law Gladys; and many dear friends.
Marie was preceded in death by sister: Mildred, brothers: Robert, Herbert, Edward and Norman and Grandchildren Amanda and Jacob; son-In-law: Salvatore.
We are grateful for our Compassus At Home Hospice team. Thank you Kaitlyn, Soni, Sonya & Stacy for your remarkable care, compassion and friendship for our dear mother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on January 15th, at St. Thomas More Parish, 1801 N. McDonald St. Appleton with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Visitation at 9:30 am until time of service. Private burial at Highlands Cemetery will follow.
