Marie A. Bushman

Marie Ann Baumann-Bogenschutz-Bushman, age 90 of Appleton, WI was born to eternal life December 15, 2021, surrounded by her family at the Appleton Retirement Community.  She was born on October 16, 1931 to Henry and Elizabeth Baumann in Appleton, WI.  She grew up with 12 siblings on a farm in the town of Grand Chute.  She was married to Roy Bogenschutz in 1951 with whom she had 6 children.  After the passing of her husband, Roy, she married Eugene Bushman of Menasha in 1965.  She welcomed his daughters into the family and with him, she had 2 more children.

Marie was a devout Christian – a prayer warrior.  She was an ardent Packer fan, a passion she shared with the whole family.  She enjoyed playing the accordion with her husband, Roy and cribbage daily with her second husband Eugene and the family.  Her family was, is, and will continue to be her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy and Eugene; her daughters, Judie and Karen; her grandsons, Jim and Billy Jo; and her 12 siblings.

The legacy of her surviving family includes her children, Jill (Don) Miller, Chris (Julieann) Bushman, Susan Bluma, Bob Bushman, Mark (Amy) Bushman, David (Jody) Bushman, Tom (Andrea) Bushman, Mary (Jon) St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will take place from 1-3 PM, Sunday, December 19 at Appleton Gospel Church, 2900 N. Mason St, Appleton, followed by a celebration of life at 3 PM with Pastor David Parks officiating.  Interment will take place in the Spring of 2022 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.

She was a treasure to all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was a little lady with a big heart and will live forever in ours.  Love you always – your family.
