Marian L. Elandt

Marian L. Elandt passed away on March 5th at the age of 87, having been a resident at KindredHearts of Greenville, WI.  Marian was born on February 27, 1936 in the town of Hillsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James and Lois Stouffer. She married Reuben H. Elandt on July 18,1957 in Volant, PA and he preceded her in death on Jan.16, 2003. Marian was also preceded in death by an infant son, and by son-in-laws, James Johnson and Thomas Walker.

Marian spent much of her summer time outdoors and enjoyed planting and caring for flowers and growing an extensive garden. Through the winter months she frequently dedicated time volunteering at local thrift stores.

Survivors include her brother, Norman Stouffer (Volant, PA) and a sister-in-law, Linda Loss (Waupaca, WI, age 100).  Her surviving family includes her 2 sons: James Elandt (his partner, Alisa McCool) and Terry Elandt (both of New London, WI) as well as her 4 daughters: Connie Elandt (Waupaca, WI), Bonnie Johnson (New London, WI), Kim [LeRoy] Schoenrock (Deerbrook, WI), and Mary Walker (Appleton, WI).  Marian is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Her children would like to thank the caregivers at KindredHearts, as well as Nick M. and Alisa McCool for their compassionate and dedicated care.

Wichmann Fargo Funeral Home in Appleton, WI. is assisting the family with the funeral. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. The family will be planning a graveside service later this spring, at which any flower seed packet donations will be forwarded to the Waupaca County Master Gardener Volunteer Association.
