Marian Bessett

Marian Bessett, old as her little pinky, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 1, 2015 at her home. Marian was born in Hubertus, daughter of the late William and Mary (Wirth) Henn. She graduated from Menasha High School and married Roger Bessett on July 8, 1949. He passed in 1992.

Marian will always be known for her love of puzzles and gardening. She also enjoyed watching the birds. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Marian is survived by her children; Charlotte (Don) Waite of Pearson, Valerie Bessett of Appleton, Rodney (Kathy) Bessett of Pearson, Sheila Bessett of Appleton, Penny (Donald) Vancamp of Appleton, Paula (Marty) Boyce of Appleton. She is further survived by her 22 grandchildren and her 36 (and 2 on the way) great grandchildren; as well as her brother, William; and all of her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sisters; Erdine, Ardeth and Anna.

The funeral service for Marian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at BETHANY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 530 W. Parkway Blvd, Appleton, with Rev. Darin Aden officiating.
