Maria L. Corson

Maria Corson passed away June 1, 2016 with her family at her side. Maria was a 1986 graduate of Menasha High School and also had an Associate Degree of Computer Operations, and held a certificate in Electrical Wiring, and also had a certificate in Auto Repair.

Maria had many jobs during her life, but her favorites were being a single mother to her two children, Waltco, Inc. where she was a driver and dispatcher for Airborne Express, Fox Valley Cab where she was a driver, and Kidz Kab where she also was a driver.

Maria loved to do many activities, which included bowling, swimming tennis, walks with friends, taking pictures of everything, spending time with her family and friends, and supporting local live music.

Maria is survived by her children: Abigail (Thomas Bartelt) Cleveland and Anthony Schoch; her mother: Marjorie Corson; brothers: Michael Lappen, LeRoy Corson, and Dave (Tara Thede) Corson; a grandson: Anthony Kaczmarek; a granddaughter: Olivia Schoch; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Marian Kozikowski and Chester Zak, her paternal grandparents: Agnes and Mike Lappen, her biological father: Walter Lappen, her adopted grandparents: Sidney and Stormy Corson, adopted father: Sidney Todd Corson, her sisters: Vicki Lappen and Valeta “Bunny” Lappen, a brother: Perry Lappen, and many aunts, uncles, and friends.

A memorial service for Maria will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at PATHWAYS CHURCH, Room 206, 311 W. Evergreen Drive in Appleton. A memorial picnic will follow at Jones Park in Appleton. All are invited and asked to bring a dish to pass and your non-alcoholic beverage of choice.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established at Fox Communities Credit Union.
