Margaret A. Schwaller, age 105, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born on June 15, 1917, in Little Chute, the daughter of George and Annie (Van Schyndel) Heesakker. Margaret was united in marriage to Robert Noel Schwaller on July 21, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1990.
Margaret attended UW-Milwaukee and was employed as a paralegal for many years, a career she loved. She treasured the numerous friendships she made as an avid bridge player as well as all others.
Margaret is survived by loving and attentive nieces and nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was further preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses: Sister Mary Callista O.P. (Martha Heesakker), Agnes Heesakker, Dorothy Mae Heesakker, Loretta (Eugene) Harp, Josephine (Joseph) Mueller, Mary (William) Van Offeren, Lawrence (Beatrice) Heesakker, and Francis (Shirley) Heesakker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton, with Fr. Jim Leary, O.F.M. Cap. Officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions should be made to: “The Margaret Schwaller Memorial”, and mailed to Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54911.
