Age 74, of Appleton
Passed away on January 23, 2003 at Brewster Village in Appleton.
She was born on February 23, 1928 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Andrew and Jean Gavlek. She married David Kirsling at Kessler Air Force Base, Mississippi, on October 16, 1950. Margie enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking care of the everyday duties of being a wife and mother, and those trips to St. Vincent’s. She will always be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; and her great positive attitude.
Margaret is survived by her husband, David; sons: Stephen (Darlene) Kirsling, Appleton, Christopher (Mary) Kirsling, Menasha, and their children: Derek and Brooke and their grandchildren: Brittany and Caleb; Matthew (Sandra) Kirsling, Appleton, and their child, Jennie; Mark (Janet) Kirsling, Neenah, and their children: Hope Marie and Conner; James (special friend, Jody) Kirsling, Appleton; sisters: Marilyn (Richard) Simonis, Neenah, Patricia (Donald) Rutta, Plover; brother: Andrew II (Marlene) Gavlek, Escanaba, Michigan; she is further survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son Joseph, and her father and mother-in-law: Aloys and Angeline Kirsling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (312 S. State St.) Appleton at 11:00 AM with Father Michael O’Rourke officiating. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4 PM until 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, at the funeral home. There will also be one hour of visitation at church prior to the service. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.
