Margaret Molly Rollins, age 91, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, October 6, 2023. Margaret and twin brother Tom were born to Elsie and Frank Clark January 13, 1932. Molly graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Menasha, and shortly after graduation, married the love of her life, Roy Rollins, in 1950. They started their family welcoming their first daughter, Rita, followed by two sons, Rick and Randy, and finally the baby, Rene.
Margaret, or Molly as she was known, was a sweet soul who will be remembered for her constant Beautiful perfume scent, rosy red lipstick and her love of dark chocolate caramels. She was the best taster of Christmas treats and maker of homemade hot chocolate.
One of Molly’s first jobs as a young adult was at Hidde’s Pharmacy and later at Marguerite’s Gift Shop both in Menasha. She then transitioned to medical working at Riverside Clinic and Dr. Gustafson’s Office for a number of years as a Receptionist scheduling for multiple doctors. Margaret later spent some time caring for residents at a nursing home. She always spoke fondly of her time working with the doctors, patients, and later the residents of the home. Margaret retired from her final position at WPS. After retirement she loved to spend time with her grandkids. She would help care for the grandkids reminding them that it’s okay to wipe food on grandma’s pants because “that’s what washing machines are made for.”
In her later years she spent her time at home with her husband, Roy, whom she loved very much. Margaret was able to stay in her home until her final days as she wished thanks to the dedication and care provided by her daughters Rita and Rene. Molly spent her evenings up until the end crocheting with her daughter, Rene.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Frank Clark, her son and daughter-in-law Randy and Darlene Rollins, and Roy’s 11 siblings and their spouses. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 73 years, Roy Rollins; daughters Rita Rollins, Rene (Victor) Briones, her son Rick (Kay) Rollins; and her twin brother Tom (Shirley) Clark. She is further survived by her grandchildren Wendy (Tommy) Watters, Angie (Ryan) Kane, Josh (Janice) Rollins, Justin (Crystal) Rollins, Jordan (Josh) Gillam, Jeremy Rollins, Brandon (Lexi) Briones, Risa Briones, Kenzie Briones; and great grandchildren Sam, Harper, Mason, Jameson, Paytenn, Jayce, Brynn, Lyndi, Griffin, Ruby, Kenan, Nora, and Veda; and her nephews Jeff (April) Clark, Kevin (Donna) Clark, and Keith (Debbie) Clark; and countless other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care provided by Sienna and Liz and the rest of the team at Compassus Hospice Care, as well as Geri Kasper for always keeping Molly’s hair looking just the way she wanted it.
There will be a Memorial Service for Margaret and her husband at 11:00 AM at Wichmann Laemmrich Funeral Home in Menasha. There will be a gathering to celebrate both Roy and Margaret before the service from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral Home.
Margaret will rest in peace at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
