Margaret Mary "Marge" Stygar

Margaret Mary “Marge” Stygar, age 84, passed away on April 26, 2017 at a local nursing home. Margaret was born on May 10, 1932 to George and Viola (Peters) Van De Hei in Green Bay Wisconsin. On September 29, 1951 she married Bat Gleason. Bat preceded her in death. In June of 1964 she married John Stygar and he also preceded her in death. Family was important to Marge. She loved to joke and play cards. She was very generous and had a big heart. She was always ready and willing to help others in need.

She will be sadly missed by: her children, Karen Downing of Menasha; Carol (Bob) Linders of Menasha; Penny (Don) Tank of Black Creek; Rick (fiance' Donna Moede) Gleason of Combined Locks; Ron (Deb) Gleason of Appleton, grandchildren: Amy Sturm; Sam (Brooke) Tank; Beth (Doug) Lillge; Gary Gleason; Rob Linders; Ashley Binder; Eric (Chelsie) Linders; Corey (Alex) Gleason; Brittney (Tyler) Springstroh; Danielle Gleason, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings: Orville (Linda) Van De Hei; Alice Tassoul; Marion (Nick) Franzen and Lee (Mary) Van De Hei as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, her first husband who was the father of her children, Bat Gleason, and her second husband John Stygar, a son Gary Lee Gleason, infant daughter Connie Rae Gleason, one infant son, siblings: Harold Van De Hei; Lawrence Van De Hei and Ambrose Van De Hei.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont Street in Appleton. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 4:00pm at the church with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeland Care home health care for the care given to Marge. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Atrium of Neenah. An extra special thank you to Peaches for all her support.
