Margaret M. “Marty” Oestreich, age 84, of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha. On December 5, 1932 Margaret Mary was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Benjamin and Caroline (Schweiger) Pabst. After graduating from high school in 1952 she worked as a dental office assistant. On August 13, 1960 Marty was united in marriage to Lester (Les) Oestreich at St. Peter Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. After a brief time in West Bend they relocated in Neenah where Les continued working as a teacher and Marty as a home maker. They became parents in 1964. As a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Marty sang in the choir, facilitated the eucharistic minister schedule, participated in the Red Hat Society and took part in various other church activities. For over a decade she was a pink lady at the former Theda Clark Medical Center. Singing was her greatest passion. Marty sang with The Chaminade Women's Chorus for 32 years, eventually acting as their treasurer. With Les she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, attending concerts and shows and traveling. She perfected the crafts of origami, crochet and counted cross stitch. She was a gentle and supportive person to her immediate family.
Marty will be missed by her daughter Ann Marie Bur and her children: Megan, Natalie and April and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and Lester and his parents.
