Hovey, Margaret M.

Margaret Mae Hovey, age 81, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born in Antigo on January 21, 1928, the daughter of the late Alva and Verna Hovey. Margaret rode several motorcycles over the years and enjoyed being outdoors as well as going camping. She loved playing the organ and piano. Margaret was a wonderful, fun-loving person who enjoyed life. She was devoted to her family and friends and kept them close throughout her life.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Hovey of St. Paul, Minnesota; nephew, William (Vickie) Hovey of Kaukauna; niece, Jean (George) Zabel of Janesville; sister-in-law, Norma Hovey of Rockford, Illinois, grandnieces: Billie (Dave) Christiansen, Bobbie Kohler, Jackie (Marty) Schultz, Tina Zabel, Katrina Hovey, Toni (Russell) Frye, Marty (Jody) Zabel and many great-great nephews and nieces. Margaret is further survived by her very good friends, Barbara Barkart, Julie Katchenago and many more. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Hovey, Leigh (Elizabeth) Hovey, Donald (Gertrude) Hovey and nephews: John Hovey and Lee Bacon.

A Funeral Service for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Fargo Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Creamer officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The committal will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Paul Elder Services for taking such good care of Margaret and our family in her last days.
