Age 94, died peacefully at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. She was born in Duck Creek (Green Bay) on August 11, 1913, the daughter of the late Fred and Cordelia (Forsythe) Champeau. On August 14, 1933 she married her husband of 57 years, Stanley J. Kasperek, at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was the oldest of 10 children. Margaret took pride in raising and providing for her family. She was a great host to everyone who would stop for a bite to eat. Her hobbies included: fishing, gardening, furniture restoration, ceramics, and things that would improve her home. Margaret's church and faith were very important to her. She will be remembered for her ability to be truthful and direct.
Margaret is survived by her children: Jim (Dee) Kasperek of Lakewood and Rev. David Kasperek of Green Bay; daughter-in-law, Nay Kasperek of Neenah; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bill (Dot) Greasby of Lakewood; and many nieces and nephews of the Champeau and Kasperek families.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ken Kasperek.
The visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008, at SAINTS EDWARD AND ISIDORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Flintville, with the funeral liturgy starting at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Kasperek officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
The family extends a special thank you to Keen-agers in Menasha and the staff at Franciscan Care Center for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Margaret's name is being established.
