Formerly of 1645 E. Harding Drive, age 91, died Friday morning, February 16, 2001, following a brief illness. She was born October 4, 1909, to the late Anton and Catherine (Striegle) Decker, in Seymour. Margaret had been employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone, in Appleton and Indiana Bell Telephone, in Indianapolis, retiring after 47 ¬Ω years of employment. She spent many hours at the Indianapolis racetrack with friends for practice and races, as well as other racetracks. Margaret was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the Telephone Pioneers, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Millersburg, IN. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Gertrude Decker, Appleton; two nephews, James (Cindy) Decker, Appleton; David (Cathy) Decker, Hortonville; a niece, Patricia (Dwight) Fisk, Oshkosh; one great niece; three great nephews; two great great nieces and one great great nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Helen Decker. The funeral liturgy for Margaret will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 19, 2001, at ST BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, with Father Harry Berryman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
