Margaret Mary Fairchild, 73, passed away on May 11, 2022. She was born in Kenosha, WI, on September 21, 1948, to James and Patricia Singer. She attended St. Mary’s Central High School in Menasha, WI, graduating in 1967. Margaret married Timothy Selig, and they had three boys, Shawn, Scott, and Steven. She later married Lloyd Fairchild in 1979, and they had James, Danielle, twins Jeffery and Gordon who passed in 1986, and William.
Margaret enjoyed her work as a crossing guard for the Menasha Police Department from 1984-1991, as well as 2019-2020, working as a secretary and electrician helper at Master Electric in Neenah from 1967 to 1990, and her work as a medical records clerk for ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI from 1992 to 2005. She also loved her scratch-off tickets, keeping up with classmates, watching crime dramas, and supporting her children in all of their hobbies and passions.
Margaret is preceded in death by her twins, Jeffery and Gordon Fairchild; husband, Lloyd Fairchild; ex-husband, Timothy Selig; parents, James and Patricia Singer; and brother, Gerry Singer.
She is survived by her children, Shawn Selig, Scott Selig, Steven Selig, James Fairchild, Danielle Fairchild, and William Fairchild; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A service will be held for Margaret on Friday, May 20, at 11:30 am, at the Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St, Menasha. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until time of service.
The family would like to thank the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center ICU nurses, Dr. Klinkhammer, the ThedaCare Oncology team, Dr. Geocaris, and the surgical team.
