Age 85, formerly of Appleton and Kaukauna passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Mercy Health Systems in Janesville, Wisconsin. She was born on May 6, 1917 in Appleton the daughter of the late Louis and Wella (Griese) Lillge. They moved to Kaukauna in 1950 and owned and operated Krueger Furniture Store until 1971. They moved to Lake Worth, Florida; her husband Gerald passed away on November 9, 1990 in Florida and she resided there until 1994 when she moved to Janesville, Wisconsin. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Janesville.
She is survived by her son Maynard (Pauline) Krueger of Kaukauna, her daughters Karen (Donald) Cook of Janesville, Diane Krueger and her special friend Terry Krake of Appleton, and Sherry Gionnaud and her special friend Bob of West Palm Beach, Florida. There were many important things in Mae’s life but her greatest love was her grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren. Mae is also survived by her sister Lavida Werner , and her brother Gerald Lillge both of Appleton. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald L. Krueger, and a brother-in-law Grover Werner.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Wichmann Tri-County Chapel with the Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call on Saturday at the Tri-County Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
