Lynne Satterlee

Lynne Victoria (Kneip) Satterlee, age 77, died peacefully on October 7, 2021 in Allen, Texas, where she lived near her daughter.

Lynne was born on July 14, 1944 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the 5th of 9 children of Norman and Agnes (Gehrman) Kneip. She attended St. Joseph School for 9 years and graduated from Appleton Senior High School in 1962.

In 1965 she married Steve Dupree in Oklahoma. They had one son and divorced in 1969. In 1970 she married Jim Satterlee in Oklahoma. They had a son and a daughter, and their marriage ended in 1994.

Lynne was a caring woman, a good listener and friend, and a beloved sister. Above all,

Lynne was a wonderful, loving mother who committed her life to her children. She will be dearly missed by many.

Lynne is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Eric) Sinclair; also 7 grandchildren: Darren, Zachary, Jacob, Bailey Satterlee and Cody, Marisa, and Gavin Sinclair. She is also survived by 7 siblings: Barbara Kunstman, Lee Kneip, Mary Foegen, Janice (Sam) Taylor, Ann Mewshaw, Chris (Jo Ann) Kneip, Jill (Gary) Lallensack and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mike Kneip; her sons, David and Brent; and many other relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Lynne at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, WI.  Family and friends may visit at the church from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the mass.   A private family inurnment will follow.
