Age 58, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Lynn was born on June 13, 1944, the son of Harold E. and Opal Tipton. On August 19, 1967, Lynn married Karen Voigt, and they have enjoyed 35 years of marriage together. Lynn was very active in the Appleton Area Little League; serving as Commissioner, President and finally, District Administrator. He was employed at Sears as an Assistant Store Manager-Brand Central. Lynn was also involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his mother, Opal Simon, Northwood, Ohio; his son, Thomas; 3 brothers, Gary (Sue), Woodville, Ohio; Danny (Kim) and Larry, both of Toledo; and 2 sisters, Cathy (James) Etchie, Wauseon, Ohio; and Carla Tipton, Northwood, Ohio. Lynn is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E., and his brother, Harold L. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, December 2, 2002 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Leon Knitt officiating. The burial will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 3, at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, December 2, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Appleton Little League. Lynn’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to family and friends for their support. Special thanks also to their extended family, “The employees of the Appleton Sears Store,” and “Appleton Little League.”
