Lyndora I. Mack

Age 80, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004. Lyndora was born in Pennsylvania on April 13, 1924, daughter of the late Schyler and Ireva (Berry) Gray. As a young woman, Lyndora busied herself with the raising of her daughters and was involved with many of their activities. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and baking. Most of all, though, she will be remembered as a loving, caring, and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For several years, she worked as a clerk in specialty shoe stores in the Milwaukee area.

Survivors include two daughters: Marilyn Mack of Kaukauna and Barbara (Richard) Krueger of Greendale; two grandchildren: Thomas Krueger of Franklin and Theresa (Steve) Strecek of West Allis and their daughter Amanda Elliott; a sister: Laura “Tiny” Gray of Racine; two sisters-in-law: Carol Gray of Waukesha and Evelyn (Elden) Wilson of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lyndora was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jack Gray and Harold Gary, a sister Sylvia (Joseph) Peach, and her beloved best friend Victor Schiffer.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 11 AM at the West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 9000 Washington Avenue in Racine, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM and again Wednesday at the cemetery chapel in Racine from 10 AM until the hour of the service.
