Age 91, passed away Monday, October 1, 2001. Lucille was born in Kimberly on July 5, 1910, daughter of the late Henry and Sophia (Weyenberg) Wynboom. She was a member of the first class to graduate from the Kimberly High School, and on August 28, 1930 married Clyde Hansen in Kimberly. Clyde preceded her in death on March 1, 1978. Lucille was an avid shopper and was a longtime member of the Holy Name Choir. She especially enjoyed going out for breakfast with family and friends. In her earlier years, she was a member of a local homemakers club and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Lucille is survived by one son: Merrill “Chub” (Joan) Hansen of Kimberly; her granddaughter and god-child: Linda Loewenhagen of Appleton; a great-granddaughter: Amy Loewenhagen of Appleton; a special god-child and niece: Nancy (John) McCormick of Kimberly; and a nephew: Jim (Ellen) Gossens of Clintonville. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, by three sisters: Katherine Gossens Behling, Anna Wynboom, and Frances Wildenberg; and by a niece: Delores Hermsen.
The funeral liturgy for Lucille will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
The family would like the thank the staff at Century Oaks for the wonderful care they provided to Lucille during her stay. You made a beautiful home for her in her final years. Thank you so very much.
