Lucille “Lu” Thompson Wuellner
Age 93, Lu or “Lucy” as fondly referred to by those who loved and cared for her at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton, passed away at Appleton Medical Center on Sunday, July 29, 2001 after a short illness. She was born on December 31, 1907 in Roselawn, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Elmer and Elenor Thompson. She married John Wuellner on September 14, 1933 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1991. She is survived by two daughters: Gail Wuellner and Diane Murray and two sons: James and Guri Wuellner and Thomas and Eileen Wuellner; all living in the Appleton area. Lu is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Delbert Thompson and a grandson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2001 at Highland Memorial Park Chapel, Appleton with Rev. Lesley Radius officiating. Friends will be received directly at the cemetery chapel on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Lucille has left her family and friends with many wonderful memories and will be missed by all.
