Geurden, Lucille Ann

Lucille Ann Geurden, of Appleton, formerly of Kimberly, age 88, was born to eternal life, Friday evening, October 29, 2004, at Manorcare Health Services. She was born January 26, 1916, to the late Henry and Harriet (Vanden Heuvel) Jansen, in Combined Locks and had been an area resident all of her life. Lucille was always there to help her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, embroidering, helping others and maintaining a clean house. Lucille was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, its mission club and Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Donna Geurden, Kimberly; Clyde and Linda Geurden, Menasha; David and Sharon Geurden, Winneconne; Randy and Chris Geurden, Appleton; a daughter, Mary Thompson, Menasha; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Janet Behling, Kelly Lake; a sister, Alice Jansen, Appleton; three sister-in-law, Stella Jansen, Mary Jansen and Ione Jansen; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Geurden, a son, Rodney Geurden, a grandson, Cory Geurden, a great grandson, Michael Paustian, a daughter-in-law, Felicia Geurden, four sisters, Isabelle Vanden Boom, Grace Wydeven, Angie Knaack, Bernadine Behling, five brothers, Jim Behling, Harvey Jansen, Vin Jansen, Lester Jansen and Ray Jansen. The funeral liturgy for Lucille will be held at 12:00 pm, (NOON) Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 Kimberly Avenue, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
