LuAnn Starner

LuAnn Starner, a child of God, was called to her heavenly home on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. LuAnn was born in Waupaca on July 1, 1953, daughter of Melvin and Donna (Thiel) Cartwright who also live in Greenville.

First and foremost, LuAnn was a devout Christian and disciple of Christ. She was a caring daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed putting their needs before hers, and was always sure that Bob was taken care of. She had coffee with her parents every morning, which gave her a good opportunity to check on them as well. Along with enjoying the company of her brothers, she enjoyed shopping and gaming online, and was an avid Packer fan. Prior to her retirement, she had been the church secretary at Immanuel for several years. She had always looked back fondly at those days.

LuAnn is survived by her husband, Bob Starner; a son: Joshua (Christina) Starner and their children Brayden, Leah, Dominic, and Hannah; her parents: Melvin and Donna Cartwright; two brothers: James (Sherie La Brosse) Cartwright and Alan (Julie) Cartwright. Also surviving are Bob’s siblings: Dennis (Joanna) Starner, David (Candace King) Starner. John (Debbie) Starner, Mark (Cindy) Starner, and Marjorie Starner. There are also many nieces and nephews. LuAnn was preceded in death by her daughter Leslie Starner in 2003.

The Christian Funeral Service for LuAnn will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Ministries, located at W7265 School Road in Greenville. Rev. Timothy Dolan will preside at the service and LuAnn will be buried next to her dear daughter, Leslie, in the church cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Friday and continue until the time of the service.
