Baisden, Lowell D.

Lowell D. Baisden, age 78, of Appleton, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April 4, 2006. He was born to the late W. Earl and Valborg (Stockland) Baisden April 9, 1927 in St. Paul, MN. Lowell was a U. S. Navy veteran serving with the Amphibious Fleet in World War II. He was a life long painter and owned and operated Baisden Painting and Decorating Company for 30 years. Lowell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the USS LSM-LSMR Association and Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. Lowell was an avid sportsman who enjoyed the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
He is survived by his beloved wife Fern (nee Dittman) Baisden. Loving father of Michael (Ellen), Patrick (Jean), Keith (Terri), Paula ( Jim) Koppelman, and Joel (Amy). Proud Grandpa of Stephen, Katherine, Peter, Matthew, Robbie, Tom, Michael and Jacob. Brother of Ken, Norma and Orrin. He was preceded in death by his brother Eugene and sister Elaine.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2006, at 5:00 pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410W. Lawrence St, with Father Larry Abler officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:30 to 4:30 pm on Friday, followed by the mass at 5:00 pm, at church

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association or the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, Inc.
