Age 86, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004. Louise was born Mary 27, 1917 in Kimberly, daughter of the late Simon and Cornelia (Van Hest) Roovers. She married James Heinemann on July 1, 1967 and the couple made their home in Kimberly. James preceded her in death in 1995. Louise grew up and attended school in Kimberly, graduating form Kimberly High School and Bowlby’s Business College in Appleton. She was the office manager and bookkeeper at Industrial Supplies, Inc. and VI Pipe and Supply, both in Appleton. She retired after forty-two years of service. Louise took an active roll in fund raising projects at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton and was also a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. During that time she was a member and past president of the Monte Alverno Retreat Guild. Sewing occupied much of her time, and she often said that she couldn’t live without a sewing machine in her home and a needle in her hand. Louise also enjoyed travel, both in the United States and abroad.
Survivors include three step-daughters: Jane (Wayne) Vanderpas of Kimberly; Cindy Heinemann of Appleton; and Laurie (Roger) Moczygemba of Floresville, Texas; a foster daughter: Pauline (Larry) Henry of Anderson, South Carolina; six step-grandchildren: Alicia Vanderpas, Tony Vanderpas, Kim Moczygemba, Gary Moczygemba, Lauren Henry, and Miriam Henry; a sister: Johanna Hakkert of Little Chute; a brother: Peter (Dorothy) Roovers of Kimberly; three sisters-in-law: Marie Klippstein of Appleton, Barbara Pankratz of Appleton, and Anne Heinemann of Sheboygan; as well as by close friends Linda and David Lopas and their children Tammy, Jenny, and Scott of Kimberly; as well as by several nieces, and nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, sisters Marie (George) Ottenschot and Catherine (George) Nabbefeld; a brother George (Myrtle) Roovers; an infant brother George; and by brothers-in-law Leo Pankratz, Frank Heinemann, and Herman Klippstein.
The funeral liturgy for Louise will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday after 4:00 PM.
