Age 78, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was born in Ludlow, MA on August 27, 1932 the daughter of the late John and Ora (Baron) Vacher. Lori was employed at Van Ryzin Machine for 10 years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic church, volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul, enjoyed reading, and crocheting. Lori was an avid baseball fan, especially the Brewers and Red Sox.

Lori is survived by her children: Bill (Nancy) Nettekoven of Appleton, Jacqueline (Scot) Leeman of Appleton, and Eva (Todd Skalmusky) Nettekoven of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Travis (Leah) Nettekoven, Kathryn (Matt) De Mars, Paul Leeman, Tyler Nettekoven, and Jennifer Nettekoven; sisters: Eva Hamilton, Clara Nichols and Imelda Vacher; and former husband, Rheinold Nettekoven. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Leeman; brother, John Vacher II; and sisters: Rachel and Francis Vacher.

The funeral liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton, with Fr. Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31, at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

The family extends a special thank you to St. Vincent DePaul for the opportunity to volunteer, and to Dr. Stephen Fuller for his exceptional care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
