Lorraine Jean James

Lorraine J. James, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was born on August 22, 1929, in St. Paul, MN the daughter of William and Nola Potter. Lorraine was a strong, independent person and dedicated mother to her six children. After raising her six children, Lorraine returned to school to complete her accounting degree. She enjoyed a long and successful business career. Her passion was helping others, being a support and mentor to those around her, being an avid sports fan, and keeping up on current affairs.

Lorraine is survived by 5 children: Mary (Brian) Blazer, Susan Werner, Mark James, David James, and Julie (Randal) Bootz; a daughter-in-law: Valerie James; 8 grandchildren: Carrie (Sean Gingery) Rowe, Justin (Carrisa) James, Patrick (Tony Eikland) James, Michael James, Phillip (Pam) James, Peter (Erin) James, Jennifer Bootz, and Brian Blazer; many great grandchildren; special friend: Dennis Dercks and family; and many other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and a son: John Richard James Jr.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
