Age 94, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2008 at Brewster Village Nursing Home. She was born in Little Chute on August 26, 1913, daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Van Handel) De Bruin. On May 8, 1934 she married William Weyenberg, and celebrated 55 wonderful years with him before he preceded her in death on February 9, 1990. Loretta worked at Doering's Super-Value, and volunteered as a crossing guard. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and baking wonderful pies.
She is survived by her children: Marvin (Beverly) Weyenberg of Green Bay, Glenn (Joyce) Weyenberg of Kaukauna, Joan (Carl) Schumacher of Kimberly, Joyce Bauman, Kaukauna; daughter-in-law: Charlene Weyenberg of Little Chute. 14 grandchildren: Dean (Dawn) Weyenberg, Susan and Bruce Weyenberg, Kim (James) Swinghamer, Kay (Brian) Walcheck, Lori (Jon) Kuether, Mark (Karen) Weyenberg, John (Jennifer) Weyenberg, Wendy Bauman, Tammy (Pat) Coffey, Bill (Krista) Bauman, Tony Weyenberg, Tiffany (Chad) Vosters, Troy (Stacy) Weyenberg; 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband, William Sr., she was preceded in death by her son, William Jr., a son-in-law, Barry Bauman, and brothers: Joseph, Peter, Raymond, and Martin.
Funeral Liturgy for Loretta will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone on Brewster Village for the wonderful care you gave to our mom. Words cannot express our gratitude.
