Loretta C. Nettekoven

Loretta Nettekoven, a resident of St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, was called home on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the age of 92. She was born in Dundas on October 23, 1913, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Micke) Rademacher. In 1932, she married Gordon J. Nettekoven; he preceded her in death in 1980. For many years, Loretta worked as a beautician in the Kaukauna area. She was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she was a former Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar Society. She was also a past member of the Kaukauna Lady Elks.

Loretta's most cherished moments were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchild. She loved them all very much, and will be sadly missed by three daughters: Betty Jane (Robert) Steger, Joan Blumreich, and Nancy (Karl) Frank, all of Kaukauna; eight grandchildren: Robert Steger, Jr., Debra (Lance) Driessen, Sara (Dr. Michael) Grode, Jaye (John) Schultz, James (Gretchen) Blumreich, Jerri Blumreich, Joe Blumreich, and Kara (Steve) Ferris; eleven great-grandchildren: John Steger, Sam and Katie Driessen, Allison and Aaron Grode, Ben (Jessica) Schultz, Emily and Philip Schultz, Joshua Blumreich, and Kaden and Keaton Ferris; a great-great-granddaughter: Riley Schultz; a brother: Clifford (Agnes) Rademacher of Sherwood; a sister: Cleta Van Dyke of Kaukauna; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon in 1980, a son-in-law Jon Blumreich, brothers Leo (Loretta) Rademacher and Elmer (Evelyn) Rademacher, a sister Lillian (Urban) Eiting, Gordon?s parents Henry and Selma Nettekoven, brothers-in-law Alvin Van Dyke, Norbert Nettekoven, Fred Nettekoven, and Victor (Ruth) Nettekoven, and sisters-in-law Rita Rademacher and Irene (Frank) Thelen.

The funeral liturgy for Loretta will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 7, 2005 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Paul Elder Services, especially Birch Place, for all of the loving care and concern shown to Loretta during her three year stay with them. You will never be forgotten
