Age 90, died Thursday December 20, 2007 at Heartwood Homes in Appleton, following a long illness. Loraine was born October 16, 1917 in Britton, South Dakota to the late William and Ida (Woehler) Presteen. She married Alvin LeMoine on July 19, 1949 and they made their home in Appleton. Alvin preceded her in death on November 9, 2004. Loraine worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and especially, time spent with her family and friends. Loraine is survived by her sisters, Lillian Schultz and Juanita (Ernest) Hein, all of Appleton and a brother in law, Lloyd Ellefson. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Loraine was preceded in death by her twin sister Irene Presteen, her sisters Evelyn (Frank) Krueger, Helen (Lester) Hein, and Eva Ellefson, her brothers, Melvin (Lila) Presteen, and Lawrence (Leona) Presteen. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior St., Appleton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to thank the staff at Heartwood Homes for all the care given to Loraine.
