Lola Jane Nikolai
Age 58, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on April 8, 2002. She was born to the late Sherman and Dorothy Waite, on July 12, 1943 in Appleton. She later wed Gerald F. Nikolai on April 30, 1966. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and working as a teacher’s aide for the special education department at Appleton North High School.
Lola further enjoyed vacationing with her family in Minocqua, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons: John (Bev) Nikolai, Chippewa Falls, Gerald Jr. (Ronda) Nikolai, Hilbert, James (Dina) Nikolai, Kimberly, grandchildren; Taylor and Trayton Nikolai; sister Deborah (Donald) Neuman, Greenville.

May she be at peace now with her beloved husband, Jerry.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2002, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church (312 S. State St.) in Appleton, with Father Michael O’ Rourke officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 until the time of the service, also at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
