Age 79, passed away at Emerald Valley Assisted Living on Monday, January 29, 2007. She was born in Appleton on February 16, 1927 the daughter of the late Bernett and Martha Marie (Beyer) Nelson. In June, 1945 Lois married her former husband, Eugene Anderson. On May 7, 1955 she married Robert Deeg. Lois was very involved in her church and enjoyed bible studies and church activities.

Lois is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert; children: Sheren (Larry) Breitrick of Appleton, David Anderson of Little Chute, Patricia (Dave) Deeg-Metz of Appleton, Shirley (Kevin) Langenhuizen of Appleton, Jaymie (William) Snow of Oshkosh and Cynthia (Melvin Kohl) Deeg of Larsen; and grandchildren: Greg Breitrick, Martha and Jesse Kohl and Melissa Langenhuizen. She is further preceded by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Daniel Breitrick; and her brother, Marlyn Nelson.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 N. Oneida St. Appleton, with Rev. Wendy Wirth-Brock officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Emerald Valley and Theda Care Hospice for their excellent loving care of Lois.

A memorial fund in Lois’ name is being established.
