Lloyd J. Newhouse

Age 93, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. Lloyd was born in Hortonville on August 30, 1909, son of the late Anthony and Anna (Vandenberg) Newhouse. On October 11, 1932, he married the former Mildred Fredericks at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; Mildred preceded Lloyd in death in May of 2002. For many years, Lloyd was employed at the Kimberly Clark mill in Kimberly, and retired as a maintenance supervisor. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and fishing.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter: Janet (Bernie) Ver Bust of Kimberly; four grandchildren: Karen (Dave) Killian, Joanne (Don) Sievers, Bill (Judy) Ver Bust, and Mike (Dawn) Ver Bust; eleven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Amy, and Sara Killian; Angela Sievers and her fiancé Nathen Fye; Nicole, Stephanie and Rebecca Sievers; Matt and Tom Ver Bust; Chris and Alyssa Ver Bust; two sisters: Marie Vander Velden of Appleton and Elaine Vander Zanden of Appleton. Lloyd is further survived by dear family friends, Joe and Joan Lewandowski of Kimberly who assisted he and Mildred in countless ways. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, a brother Merlin Newhouse, and a sister Hazel (Norbert) Derfus.

The funeral liturgy for Lloyd will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Richard Ver Bust officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service.
