Age 86, died Wednesday, June 10, 2004, at Cherry Meadows, Appleton. Lloyd was born on July 11, 1917, in Sand Point, Idaho, to the late Dennis and Delina (Marquis) Lee. He married Jean Janes on May 12, 1941, in Antigo, Wisconsin. Lloyd proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Lloyd was employed in the grocery business for over 47 years, many years as an executive with the Kroger Company. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and golf. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jean; his daughter, Penny (Dan) Krueger, Rhinelander; his sons, Paul (Jill) Lee, Algoma, and Patrick (Jeanine) Lee, Edmond, Oklahoma; his sisters and brothers, Marguerite “Peg” (Carl) Purpero, California; Patrick (Charlotte) Lee, Wisconsin; DuWayne (Jean) Lee, California; and Rita (Robert) Gadbois, California; his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard (June) Lee and his sister Marie (Sam) Finer. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. John Schutze officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from Noon until the time of services. A memorial has been established in his name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Appleton Medical Center, 4 North and at Cherry Meadows for their loving care.
