LISA J. KAMPF

Age 38, met her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 7, 2003, at her home, after a courageous battle with diabetes. Lisa was born on February 4, 1965, in Appleton to Carl and Jane (Vander Wielen) Kampf. She was a 1983 graduate of Xavier High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education at Marquette University. She lived in Australia and traveled extensively prior to earning her Masters degree at Marion College. Lisa was currently continuing her studies at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She enjoyed traveling, boating, camping, hiking and backpacking and the time spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Lisa was a devotedly spiritual person, a member and Sunday School teacher at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also actively involved with the American Diabetes Association. Survivors include her parents; her sister Kerry (Dr. Mark) Hoffmann, Wausau; her brother, Mark (Sarah) Kampf, Appleton; her sister Ann (John) Vanden Wymelenberg, Wrightstown; her sister Kim (Roland) Schmidt, Wrightstown; her aunt, Mary Kampf, Appleton; her aunts and uncles, Kenneth (Maryann) Vander Wielen, and Mart (Pat) Vander Wielen; her nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hoffmann, Adam Hoffmann, Malinda Hoffmann, Jackie Kampf, Joel Kampf, Julia Kampf, Alexandra Schmidt, and Hunter Schmidt; her cousin and special friend Jody (Ed) Jedlicka; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nora and Carl Kampf, and Elizabeth and Joseph Vander Wielen. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in Lisa’s name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the friends and relatives that gave the gift of independence to Lisa during her battle with diabetes. They would also like to thank Dr. Jimmy Madagame, Dr. Ken Kellner, Dr. Thad Krolicki, and their staff, for their exceptional medical care.
