Linda L West

Linda L. West, age 65, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2022 after a brief illness. Linda was born on June 2, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Gerald and Mary Ann (Stengel) Rink. She was a graduate of Appleton East High School, Class of 1975. On October 25, 1996 she married Randy West in Appleton. She was employed for many years with Shopko and most recently she worked with Ascension Medical Group. She loved to “hang out” with family and friends and play games. She loved to spend time with family, at the camper at Fawn Lake near Shawano. She enjoyed going for rides and last-minute road trips. She also loved the many “Fur Babies” they had over the years.

She is survived by her husband Randy West of Appleton, siblings: Dan (Dee Yeakey) Rink, Barb Glass, Tim (Becky) Rink, Chrissy (Karl Stephenson) Rawlings, Randy’s parents, Tom and Marion West, his siblings, Steve (Shannon) West, Dan (Pam) West, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, best friend Bonnie Miller, her current fur babies, Raven and Riley as well other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law Randy Rawlings.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 6:30 PM at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street location. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Ascension Medical Group, St. Elizabeth Hospital of Appleton, especially ICU nurses, Sarah and Jen as well as Dr. Nick Freeman for the compassion and care given to Linda and her family.
