Linda M. Bamke (Schreiber), 73 years passed away May 29, 2017. She was born September 29, 1943 to her parents, Peter and Lucile (Siewert) Schreiber in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Solomon Juneau High School in Milwaukee. On August 27, 1968 Neil P. and Linda M. Schreiber were married in Rock Island, Illinois. She was a homemaker and later in life volunteer with the Red Cross and was a nurses aid assisting in many healthcare areas.
Linda and her husband , Neil, travelled to many cities in their early years following his work career. They settled in the Fox River Valley area and raised their family. She was an accomplished baker who made care packages for all of her son's company in boot camp as well as family favorites of cheese cake and schaum torte. Homemade cookies, bread and candy were at many family gatherings. She enjoyed reading a good book with a lakeside view, often doing this at Pelican Lake. She was an avid card player and spent some time making quilts and loved listening to Elvis.
Linda will be missed by her sons Peter (Georgine) Bamke and Reed (Kelly) Bamke, daughter Joanne Bamke, grandchildren Aaron (Michelle) , Danielle (Andrew), Erin (Jonathan), Seth, Genevieve (Josh); Amanda (Jordan), Timothy, and Stephanie (Jerry), great-grandchildren Lillyanne, Charlotte, Joaquin, Carter, Amanda and Alyssa. Further survived by niece Judy (Stan) Flak, nephew Mark (Gail) Guild and families, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Peter and Lucile Schreiber, husband Neil P. Bamke and sister Beverly (Ellsworth) Guild.
A Memorial Service for Linda will be held on June 3, 2017 at 11 am at Faith Lutheran Celebration Ministry Center, 3100 E. Evergreen Dr., Appleton. Inurnment Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Celebration Ministry Center, from 9 am until time of Service.
Memorials in Linda's name may be made to the radio program or the senior ministry of Faith Lutheran Church.
