Linda L. Staffaroni, age 62, passed away unexpectedly December 6, 2020. She was born June 15, 1958 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to James and JoAnn Monka. She met her best friend Joel while camping at Little Silver Resort, and they were married in May of 1985, alongside her sister Susan and brother-in-law Dan, on their parents’ 28th anniversary.
Linda loved her family above all else, with the Packers coming in a close second. She loved to recreate Joel’s old homemade Italian family recipes, had fun teaching her granddaughter to bake anything that included chocolate, and carried on the family apple pie baking tradition each fall. She was an avid quilter—another family specialty—and she made sure every new baby was wrapped in a beautifully patterned quilt. Linda also deeply enjoyed the friendship of her dear YaYa’s. Her favorite season was Christmas, and the family will fondly carry on her traditions and keep her beautiful spirit alive.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, James and JoAnn. She is survived by her husband Joel; daughter and husband, Lindsay and Russell George; granddaughter (and #1 partner-in-fun) Claire; two brothers and wives, James Jr. and Linda Monka, and Steven and Jean Monka; sister and husband, Susan and Daniel Carlson; brother-in-law and wife, Ross and Ranae Staffaroni; many adored nieces; and many cherished grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She made each and every one feel special, and touched their lives deeply.
A private memorial service will take place. Please join the family in celebrating her life Wednesday, December 16, 2020 between 12:30 and 2:00pm at Saint Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah, WI 54956. The family is grateful that a public visitation is possible during the pandemic and respectfully asks that all visitors follow COVID guidelines for the safety of all, including masks and social distancing.
