Appleton – Lillian R. Loppnow, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 19, 2020. She was born on April 8, 1924, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Aaron and Lillian (Heidtman) Cowels. Lillian was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, chatting and socializing with friends, and having her hair and nails done weekly. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (Appleton) and the Butte des Morts Country Club.
Lillian is survived by 4 children: William (Sally) Loppnow, Thomas (Ronna) Loppnow, James (Patty) Loppnow, and Lorie Gengler; 8 grandchildren: Katie (Josh) Rosen, Jennifer Loppnow, Lacey (Ryan) Morris, Stephanie (Rey) Mendoza, Kathleen (Jason) Grube, Jonathon Loppnow, Aaron Gengler, and Sara Gengler; 6 great grandchildren: Grace and Jack Rosen, Zach and Lilliana Mendoza, and Magnolia and Jackson Morris; one niece: Sue (Mike) Nessmann; as well as other relatives and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 50 years, Frank.

Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Appleton.
