Lillian Moser

Lillian Ruth Moser, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Lillian was born in Milwaukee on April 12, 1925, daughter of the late Adolph and Vera Scharner. On October 1, 1949, she married Billy Roger Moser who preceded her in death.

Lillian attended high school at St. Mary’s Academy and was proud to be a nursing graduate from Marquette University. Her professional life was spent nursing in and around the Milwaukee area at hospitals, nursing homes, and private duty.

Lillian was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable gardener. She enjoyed spending her days planting, watering, and pruning. She especially had a touch for her rose garden. She was an avid reader and an estate sale shopper and a wonderful cook. Freiss lake was her pride and joy especially when her family came out for swimming, boating, and walks in the woods. She will be loved and missed. The memories will last forever.

She is survived by her four children: Linda Melichar of Germantown, WI, David (Colleen Dreher) Moser of Appleton, WI, Mary (Patrick) Sullivan of Cincinnati, OH, and Jane (Dr. Westscot G.) Krieger of Appleton, WI; eight grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Messman, Katie (Joe) Ferguson, Krista (Andrew) Colvin, Joey (Kelsey Rember) Moser, Lindsey Sullivan, Kelsey (Nate Cooper) Sullivan, Westscot H. (Britni) Krieger, and William Krieger, and 9 great grandchildren.

Lillian is preceded in death by her brother Adolph Scharner, sister-in-law Phyllis Scharner, and son in law Gary Melichar.

Visitation will take place at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18^th, 2024 from 1-4 pm. with prayer service to follow. A private burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
