Lillian M. Voights

Age 84, passed away Friday, October 05, 2001 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Lillian was born in Lamartine, Wisconsin on September 22, 1917, daughter of the late Andrew and Effie (Welch) Whittaker. On January 17, 1947 she married William Paul Voights in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1999. Lillian was a bookkeeper for Andrews’ Oil Company for nine years, and then worked until her retirement for H.C. Prange Company in Appleton. In her earlier years, she taught Sunday School at various Assembly of God churches, and currently was a faithful member of the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Appleton where she was active with various missionary groups. She was an accomplished seamstress, and many will remember Lillian for her love of sewing.

Survivors include three daughters: Ruth Voights of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; Rebecca (Daniel) Heinz of Green Bay; and Paula Knight of Midland, Texas; and two grandchildren: Lee Paul Knight and Skylar Knight. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Paul in 1999, sisters Mary Catherine, Laura, and Josephine, a brother James, and a son-in-law Larry Knight.

Funeral services for Lillian will be held at 3:30 PM on Monday, October 8, 2001 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Nickel officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:30 PM until the hour of the services. Memorial funds have been established for Fox Valley Christian Fellowship and for St. Paul Home.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at St. Paul Home for the wonderful care Lillian received during her stay. She always felt very much at home with all of you. Thanks so much for caring for our mom.
