LILLIAN FROEHLICH

Age 91, was called to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 15, 2002, at Alterra Wynwood. Lillian was born on March 19, 1911, in Shipley, Wisconsin, to the late Carl and Amanda (Diestler) Wohlfeil. She married Vernon Froehlich in Appleton on February 20, 1931; he preceded her in death in 1945. Lillian was employed at Zwicker Knitting Mill for over 33 years. She was a longtime member of Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Altar Guild. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who especially enjoyed time spent with her family. She was always ready and willing to assist friends and relatives in need. Lillian truly lived her faith. Survivors include her son, Judge Harold (Sharon) Froehlich, Appleton; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stephanie), Appleton, and Michael Froehlich, Appleton; her great-grandchildren, Ali and Emma; and her sister, Hildegard Feurpfeil, Neenah. She was preceded in death by her brother Rudolph Wohlfeil, and her sisters, Hertha Nauman, Alfreda Dorpat and Norma Wohlfeil and Selma Yentz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2002. at MT. OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 East Florida Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in her name to benefit the American Heart Association, Fox Valley Lutheran High School and Mt. Olive Lutheran School. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you for the care given Lillian by the staff at Hartland Hospice and the past and present staff at Alterra Wynwood. A special thanks to Leah for the tender loving care she extended to Lillian.
