Liliana Rose Walters, infant daughter of Steve and Debi Walters, passed away peacefully in her mother's arms and surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She was born on May 10, 2007 in Milwaukee. Liliana was born into this world with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and fought courageously through 6 1/2 months in the hospital and 2 open heart surgeries. By the grace of God, Liliana spent 2 1/2 months at home where she enjoyed playing with mom and dad, looking at books, singing, and making people smile with her own smile.
She will be sadly missed by her parents: Steve and Debi; grandparents: Frank (Judy) Walters, Wausau, Dorothy Sherman, Marshfield; great-grandmother: Milda Hamann, Wausau; aunts and uncles: Rick (Chris) Walters, Florida, Randy (Julia) Walters, Milton, WI, Tracy (Tim) Vick, Rothschild, WI, Tammy (Jason) Krueger, Stratford, WI; cousins: Kelsey, Allyson, Mason, Emilee, Nathan, Sara, Katie, and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Carol Walters and her grandfather Bill Sherman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at First English Lutheran Church (326 East North Street) with Rev. David Lyle officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9 A.M. until the time of the service. Guestbook may be viewed and signed at www.wichmannfargo.com. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for the loving care given to their little girl throughout her life.
