LeRoy J. Borsche, of Fremont, age 69, met his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Theda Clark Medical Center. LeRoy was born on July 27, 1938, in Appleton, to the late Claire and Gladys (Pohlman) Borsche. He married Jane Eake on February 2, 1963, in Readfield. LeRoy proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed by the Appleton Public School System for many years, retiring in 1996. LeRoy enjoyed sports; he was a 1st Degree Back Belt (in Tae Kwon Do), played semi-professional football with the Manitowoc Chiefs, played softball and golf for many years, was a Golden Gloves boxer and a body builder. He was an avid gun collector and was well-known for his love of his pets. Survivors include his wife of 44 years years, Jane; his brothers, Wayne (Nancy) Borsche, Sr., Shawano, and Jim (Sharon) Borsche, Green Bay; his sister-in-law, Donna Eake, Fremont; his nieces and nephews, Todd (Jean) Eake and family; Sherri (Tom) Farrell and family; Michael Borsche and Wayne (Wanda) Borsche, Jr. and family. He was preceded in death by his niece, Robin Borsche. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 North Meade Street, Appleton, with Rev. Dennis E. Ellisen officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in his name.
