Age 80, died in Appleton on Monday, December 1, 2003. He was born to the late Karl and Louise (Eisner) Haufschildt in Wausau on April 9, 1923. Leroy was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II in Europe. Leroy was a former member of the Appleton Moose Lodge.

Leroy is survived by his children: Larry Haufschildt of the Town of Menasha, Randy Haufschildt of Weyauwega, John (Diane) Haufschildt of Kaukauna, and Lori Jones of Appleton; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Koska of Wausau; daughter-in-law, Kris Brite of Little Chute; and a close friend, Delores (Alex) Korth of Appleton.

Leroy was preceded in death by his son, David Karl “Horse” Haufschildt.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Riverside Cemetery, 714 North Owaissa Street, Appleton. A military honors service will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2778.
