Age 85, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at the Hospice at Cherry Meadows. He was born on January 10, 1917 in Hilbert, Wisconsin the son of the late Adolph and Alma (Lautenschlager) Jandrey. He served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. On September 22, 1944 he married Ruth Hinz in Hilbert. He was employed by Service Bakery as a route salesman for 13 years until it closed. He then became employed by Foremost Dairy, now McKesson retiring in 1982. After retirement he worked for Medi-Van and Advocap. Some of his pastimes were fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Appleton, two brothers and one sister Elton (Eleanor) Jandrey of Spring, Texas; Verone (Warren) Wieseler of Appleton; Pastor Cyril (Audrey) Jandrey of Stoughton, Wisconsin; and Kenneth (Vi) Bauhs of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also survived by a stepbrother John (Hildegarde) Bauhs; a stepsister Leola Eastman all of Appleton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Starck.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 East Glendale Avenue with the Rev. Paul Brinkman officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Due to the road construction on Glendale Avenue, the church must be approached from the south. A memorial fund is being established to fund cancer research.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Hospice at Cherry Meadows, Dr. Robert Fox, and Barbara Nelsen for their support during a very difficult time.
