Leonard C. Milton

Leonard C. Milton, 74, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2024.

Len was born on April 28th, 1949, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Cletus and Joyce (McCabe) Milton. He attended St. John’s High School in Little Chute and went on to attend Fox Valley Technical College.

Len was united in marriage to Mary Vanden Boogaard on September 28, 1972. They were blessed with two daughters, Jenny and Laurie.

Len worked as a machinist at Appleton Wire Works for most of his life and worked hard to provide for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, his daily McDonald’s Diet Coke run, and weekly Monday lunches at different local restaurants with his friends. He also attended the Indy 500 for over 25 years! However, Len’s most treasured times were spent with his family.  When the girls were growing up the family would rent a cabin on Rolling Stone Lake in Pickerel; spending endless hours on the lake and enjoying family time!

Family and friends will remember Len as quiet, kind, and easy going. He took great pride in attending all sporting events for his children and grandchildren and was a proud grandpa. 

Len is survived by his wife, Mary, his two daughters: Jenny (Jason) Chevalier and Laurie (Peter) Ritger; five grandchildren: Marley (Evan) Rietveld, Will Chevalier, Luke Chevalier, Nathan Ritger, and Elizabeth Ritger; brother-in-law Tom Asman; and sisters-in-law Sherree Vanden Boogaard and Laurie Vanden Boogaard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel Milton, step-father Jim Wenzel, in-laws Patricia Asman, Jim Vanden Boogaard, Garry (Jackie) Vanden Boogaard, Kim Vanden Boogaard, and Bob Vanden Boogaard.

 A visitation for Len will be held on April 5, 2024 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E. Kimberly Ave. Kimberly, WI 54136. Burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery. 

Len’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be missed greatly by his family. Rest in Peace Dad! We Love You!
