Leona M. McKeefry

Passed away on Tuesday, September 26th at the age of 94 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Leona was born to Ben and Hannah Rubbert on May 4th, 1923 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Leona was joined in marriage to Earl ‘”Mac” McKeefry on September 19, 1952. Leona and Mac lived on Maiden Lake at Mountain from 1979 to 1988 and after his death until 1993. Leona retired from Zwicker Knitting Mill in 1975 after 36 years of service. She was fond of reading, crafts, baking, and fishing, but was happiest when spending time up north with Mac.

Leona is survived by her sister Gladys (Carl) Brooker, sister-in-law Margaret (Merrill) Francke, nephews Robert (Peggy) Brooker, William (Sally) Brooker and nieces Sharon Brooker and Barbara Zibel and many grand nieces and nephews. Leona is preceded in death by her husband Earl, parents, four younger siblings and her beloved cat Ginger.

Memorial visitation at Wichmann Funeral Home , 537 N. Superior Street, on October 10, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral services and Eastern Star service at 2:00 PM. Inurnment at Highland Memorial Park.
